As an anchor/reporter at ABC News Radio for almost five decades, Bill Diehl interviewed some of the biggest names in showbiz. By the early 1980s he was covering all the major award shows: the Oscars, Emmys, Grammys and Tonys. In this interview Diehl recalls memorable events and anecdotes from his broadcaster's journey, which began as a teenage DJ in Corning, N.Y., where his romance with radio was sparked.
